Comments:    Working and raising kids (again!!)

I married young and had my first daughter at 21 and had just gotten used to the idea that I would have some time to just be an old married couple when I found out I was gonna be a mama again! I actually cried when I found out, (what did I do?!) but it's all good... I always loved being mommy and even though they can frustrate the heck out of you sometimes, every minute's worth it... no regrets at all. So I have a 3-year-old again, who's only 8 months older than her nephew, my oldest grandson, Noah, so they hang out.

I've been self-employed since my early 30s and would never want to have a "job" again, as long as I can control that... work in my sweats, or on the front porch with my laptop, coffee and the birdies, chipmunks, deer and occasionally a bear (not really, when they come around I always go in the house :P )

I've been kicking around my schedule for September to see if I can come to the reunion, but if something doesn't give I probably will be somewhere else that day. Looks like there will be a nice turnout. The whole thing is a great idea; I've been thinking of the junior high reunion thing for years for the same reason Karen said, everybody went off in different directions after that. But what a weird time it was... so much is a blur because of being a thorough pothead for half of it.

I hope everyone has a great time even if I'm not there to see it...

My youngest, Lauren, couldn't resist getting buried in the leaves last fall

My 22-year-old, Erin, while on a visit out from California (she still lives there)

My husband, Bruce, and Lauren, asleep in "their chair" (that I hate)... you can see where she gets her good looks from!

My oldest grandson, Noah, showing off his favorite car

My youngest grandson, Ean, as a newborn with his mommy, my oldest daughter, Meghan

The view from the porch of our stone cottage that my husband built on our 20 acres in rural Wisconsin

My husband Bruce and I (two on the left), along with some friends at the Ren Faire... something we like to do is get dressed up for it and go and throw back a few pints at the stone pub while listening to all acoustic music, mandolin, guitar, flute and bodhran, and voices! Really puts you back there!
